THE SUN

The Sun freehouse is situated in Wheatley, a village located in Oxfordshire, about 5 miles east of Oxford. Owned by family run pub company Oak Taverns Ltd who are based in Thame, Oxfordshire.

 

We serve real ales on our 3 ever changing hand pumps, including local beer from XT brewery in Long Crendon. We have rotating craft beers, delicious wines and a gin list which include some from local distilleries.

 

While the pub itself doesn’t serve food, we have regular street food pop up vendors which join us most weeks and they allow you to try a variety of delicious food with a drink in the comfort of the pub. (See our facebook page for up and coming dates) You can also enjoy fabulous coffees here at the Sun not to mention Dimi’s famous hot chocolates, and most days you will find home baked cakes on the bar.

The pub itself is separated into different areas with a  warm and cosy feel throughout, exposed stone, 2 log burners and beautiful beams throughout.

Outside we have a wonderful sun trapped garden, which according to locals is how the pub got it’s name. There are covered seated areasaround our patio and grassy areas to enjoy the sunshine, we are also dog friendly with tasty treats on the bar for your 4 legged friends.
